The QUEEN project successfully holds its first periodic review meeting

On 10 June 2026, the QUEEN consortium successfully held its first periodic review meeting online with the participation of the European Commission Project Officer and the external reviewer assigned to the project.

During the meeting, the leaders of the different work packages presented the main progress achieved during the first execution period. The presentations covered the technical and management results developed to date, including progress in raw material characterisation, the development of flotation reagents, experimental design, sustainable silicon production, pilot plant design, as well as safety, dissemination, and project management activities.

The session also provided an opportunity to review the overall status of the project, share the progress achieved in each work package, and exchange feedback with European Commission representatives on the activities carried out so far.

The success of this first periodic review meeting represents an important milestone in the development of the QUEEN project, strengthening consortium coordination and ensuring the continuity of the work planned for the coming months.
