Dynamics UPC Manresa
Dynamics UPC Manresa is a group of students founded in 2015 with the goal of building a single-seater race car to compete in annual Formula Student competitions. Today, the team boasts multiple international podium finishes and continues working to improve year after year.
The team receives support both externally and internally from the university, including workspace access, parts manufacturing, and software licensing such as AVL and Altair.
Synergy
Founded in September 2017, this team of passionate young two-wheel racing enthusiasts—all Automotive Engineering students—was created with the goal of competing in Moto Student.
The main purpose of this competition is to apply all knowledge acquired during degree studies to a real industrial project: designing, developing, and manufacturing a competition motorcycle prototype from scratch in compliance with FIM Moto3 regulations.
To carry out their project, the team maintains an open sponsorship network for various types of collaboration.
Penjats
Penjats del Campus de Manresa is a traditional human tower group ("colla castellera") founded in 2013 by students from the Manresa School of Engineering (EPSEM-UPC), Fundació Universitària del Bages (FUB), and Institut Lacetània.
Today, it comprises around 40 members dedicated to expanding human tower culture within the local university community.
Several university "colles" exist across Catalonia, and twice a year—in winter and spring—each group hosts a performance day ("diada"). These events celebrate the core values of human towers: "strength, balance, courage, and wisdom".
Pucra Manresa
PUCRA (Polytechnic University of Catalonia Robotics Association) Manresa is an organization based at the UPC Manresa – EPSEM campus, sharing its name with the founding chapter at the EEBE campus. It operates along two main pathways.
On one hand, the team competes in collegiate robotics tournaments, focusing specifically on the VEX U championship, where teams design, build, and program robots to complete annual game challenges. On the other hand, the association leads educational outreach activities to bring technology closer to the public through workshops and interactive events.
Hairpin
The Hairpin UPC Manresa team was created in 2023 by students dedicated to rally racing events, aiming to take on major motorsport challenges.
Driven primarily by solidarity rallies like UniRaid and UniRaid Europe, the team applies coursework concepts to real-world scenarios, gaining practical experience modifying everyday vehicles for extreme terrain.
