Dynamics UPC Manresa

Dynamics UPC Manresa is a student group founded in 2015 with the aim of building a single-seater racing car to compete in the various annual Formula Student competitions. Currently, it already has several international podium finishes and continues working to improve year after year.

The team relies on both external and internal university support, whether through the provision of spaces, parts manufacturing, or accessibility to software such as AVL or Altair.

Synergy

In September 2017, this group of young people passionate about two-wheel racing was born, all students of the bachelor's degree in automotive engineering, with the goal of competing in Moto Student.
The main objective of this competition is to apply all the knowledge acquired during the degree studies in a real industrial project; designing, developing, and manufacturing from scratch a prototype racing motorcycle in accordance with the FIM Moto3 regulations.
To move their project forward, the team has a sponsorship system open to different types of collaborations.

Penjats

The Penjats del Campus de Manresa human tower group (colla castellera) was born in 2013 as a result of an initiative by students from the Manresa School of Engineering (EPSEM-UPC), the Bages University Foundation (FUB), and the Lacetània Institute.

Currently, it consists of about 40 people who want to continue growing within the city's university world.

There are several university human tower groups, and twice a year—once in winter and once in spring—each group organizes a gathering (diada) where the other groups are invited. During the gathering, the most important values of human towers are remembered: "strength, balance, courage, and common sense".

Pucra Manresa

PUCRA (Polytechnic University of Catalonia Robotics Association) Manresa is an organization specific to the UPC Manresa – EPSEM campus that adopts the name of its namesake created on the EEBE campus. Unlike other student associations, it has two distinct lines of action.

On one hand, we intend to participate in university robotics competitions, currently specifically in the VEX U championship. This consists of an educational robotics competition where teams design, build, and program robots to overcome challenges on an established playing field, following the rules and criteria established each year. On the other hand, we also have a social and educational line of action to bring technology closer to different sectors of the population through outreach activities and dynamic workshops.

As we have a scope of these dimensions, we are open to members and students of all degrees and profiles.

Student Delegation

The Manresa Student Delegation (DAM) is the representative body for EPSEM students.

It handles representation tasks, academic support, advising, activity organization, etc.

Hairpin

The Hairpin UPC Manresa team is a student group founded in 2023 and dedicated to rally events with the aim of participating in one of the biggest challenges on four wheels.

Mainly motivated by solidarity events such as UniRaid (the Dakar for students) and UniRaid Europe (the European version of UniRaid), we always seek to apply what we study in class to practice, gaining experience in preparing everyday vehicles for the most adverse conditions.
The team has the support of the UPC and the Manresa City Council, as well as the Association of Graduate Engineers and Technical Industrial Engineers of Central Catalonia (CETIM) and other sponsors to make this project possible.

NGO: Mining for Development

It is an association founded at EPSEM with the desire to improve the working conditions of people around the world who rely on mining as their source of income.

Mining for Development believes in mining that is responsible with the environment and people.
