Intellectual Property, Industrial Property, and Deposit

Intellectual Property and Industrial Property.

Intellectual and industrial property is regulated by the current regulations of the UPC. Among other things, these regulations establish that:

  • Authorship, ownership, and exploitation rights of works (intellectual property) and inventions (industrial property) developed within the framework of an academic activity belong to the student.

In the case of projects carried out in companies as well as those carried out in foreign universities, UPC regulations also apply. However, in the case of work carried out in companies, the student can also sign a rights transfer agreement with the company.
