Master's Degree in Design and Management of Industrial Facilities
Presentation and objectives
The official Master’s degree in Industrial Facility Design and Management aims to provide specialized and complete knowledge in the design and the management of industrial facilities. The master will thus provide the students with advanced technical knowledge, albeit always with an applied perspective. Indeed, the students will receive a general view of all aspects necessary to understand a facility, including technical knowledge on the transport of electricity, fluids, warm and cold, measuring systems and methods to automatize facilities. Also, concepts necessary to the integral management of facilities will be provided from the points of view of operation, quality and sustainability.
The new circumstances induced by climate changes force industries into a constant adaptation to sustainable development criteria and to ever more strict European green policies. Reaching these objectives while maintaining competitive costs indeed requires a more advanced design, management and maintenance of their facilities. This makes a necessity to avail of highly trained engineers with sufficiently broad knowledge and competences to face the challenge from all required perspectives. The master fills thus a tangible and very relevant industrial need, which guarantees the students professional future.
With the aim of ensuring a quick adaptation to the industrial reality after graduation, the master’s program has been designed in close contact with nearby industries. Thanks to this, the students will enjoy the first-hand view of experts in a diverse number of facilities and will be trained in study cases arising from real industrial scenarios.
