Submission and Defense

Submission and Validation of the Final Thesis

The documentation of the TFG/TFM will consist, at a minimum, of the project report, which will be submitted in PDF format. This will include, in addition to the document, a summary of the project in the language of the report and a summary in English. If the work requires it, other documents such as annexes, plans, etc., may be submitted. An indicative format in Word for the TFG/TFM is attached and also an indicative format for the report in LaTeX, along with some recommendations that the student can adopt or simply use as a guide.

During the indicated submission period (see academic calendar), the TFE can already be deposited to be validated by the director:

IMPORTANT: For the January 2025 call, any changes in data (title of the TFE, description, or name of the director, tutor) must be made through an application via 'e-secretariat' no later than January 7.
Defense

The tribunal will consist of 3 members.

  • The president
  • The first member
  • The second member

Selected from the school's teaching staff. The director of the TFE cannot be part of the tribunal. Eligible as president and first member are teachers from the thematic areas declared in the work, and as the second member, teachers from different thematic areas. In the case of the TFG, the president and the first member of the tribunal must belong to the faculty that teaches the corresponding degree. In the case of the TFM, the president and the first member of the tribunal must belong to the faculty that teaches the corresponding master's degree.

The school will officially appoint the tribunal for each work immediately after the administrative deadline for enrollment modification has expired. At this time, the date, time, and place of the TFE defense act will be officially assigned, which will be communicated to all affected parties. Additionally, this information, along with the student, the title of the work, the summary, and the tribunal, will be published and communicated to the entire school community.

The members of the tribunal will be registered in the AteneaTFE application, so they will have access to the project's documentation at the moment the student submits it.

During the defense of the TFG/TFM, the student will have approximately 25 minutes to make their presentation. They may have a few additional minutes for a demonstration, if applicable. Subsequently, the tribunal members may ask questions. In any case, the defense act will not extend beyond:

  • Fifty minutes in the case of the TFG.
  • Sixty-five minutes in the case of the TFM.
